The Vision Others Refuse to See

A symbolic visual of vision, persistence, and the courage to move forward when others cannot yet see the future reflecting the leadership mindset behind Chris Grollnek and the mission toward Destination #NEVERHERE™

One hundred years ago, if you told someone they would carry a small device in their pocket that could instantly connect them to another human being on the other side of the planet, voice, text, data, and video moving through invisible signals in the air, they would have laughed at you. You would have sounded impossible, unreal, and probably dangerous in your thinking. This is about the vision others refuse to see.

Tony Robbins has often used this example to remind us that what sounds insane today becomes ordinary tomorrow because a few people saw the vision anyway. They didn’t wait for permission, didn’t quit when they failed, and kept experimenting. The one thing people do not realize is that someone kept pushing forward and believing in the dream when no one else could see the outcome, yet.

And that same truth applies today to prevention, leadership, and courage. The belief that we can stop what others say cannot be stopped.

When people argue over power, ego, jurisdiction, or recognition and focus on who gets the credit rather than the outcome, we lose momentum, time, and worse, we could lose lives. That is why the words of President Harry S. Truman matter now more than ever:

“It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.”

Great movements are not built on applause; they’re built on resolve. Preventing active shooter incidents is not a fantasy, trend, or talking point. It’s a vision that demands persistence, collaboration, and the courage to build systems before tragedy forces our hand.

Every major leap in human history began as an idea someone mocked, and every standard we take for granted started as someone else’s “impossible” or “tragedy.”

The question isn’t whether it can be done, but rather whether we are willing to be the ones who keep going even when no one else understands yet.

Vision without persistence is a dream; vision with discipline, leadership, and humility can become reality.

That is how we reach Destination #NEVERHERE ™, not by ego or credit, but by commitment.
